WhenIsThe is a static site. It has no accounts, no logins, and no database of visitors. Here is the complete picture of what happens with your data.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to count visits and see which countdowns people use. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives standard technical data (pages visited, browser type, approximate location derived from IP). We see only aggregate statistics, never individual identities. You can block this entirely with any ad/tracker blocker or your browser's tracking protection — the site works identically without it.
My Countdowns, reminders, and the custom maker
The ★ My Countdowns watchlist is stored in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device. Calendar reminders are files generated in your browser and downloaded directly — nothing is sent to a server. Custom countdowns encode their data in the link itself; we don't store them.
Embedded content
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and artwork from the official sources of each event (e.g. Steam's CDN, TMDB). Those requests are subject to the respective providers' policies.
